Target To Lower Prices On 5,000 Items: Here's Where You Can Expect To See Savings
Target announced that it would lower prices on 5,000 "frequently shopped" items in its stores nationwide, the company said in a press release.
Those items include milk, meat, bread, soda, fresh fruit and vegetables, snacks, yogurt, peanut butter, coffee, diapers, paper towels, pet food, and more, the chain said in a Monday, May 20, news release. The new prices will be rolled out throughout the summer.

Man Charged With Vicious $30,000 Baseball Bat Assault-Robbery In Little Ferry
Federal authorities have moved to take custody of a Bergen County Jail inmate charged with stealing $30,000 from a man he bashed in the head with a baseball bat outside a Little Ferry business.
Jose Mejia, a 32-year-old Salvadoran national, was wanted for a Dec. 28 robbery in a parking lot just off Route 46 and Liberty Street.
He was captured this past Thursday, Jan. 11, records show.

Man Points Fake Gun At Woman, 3 Children, At Hicksville Drive-Thru: Police
A Long Island man was arrested after he drew a fake firearm behind him in a McDonald’s drive-thru line, authorities said.
The incident happened on Sunday, Jan. 7 at the Hicksville McDonald’s, located at 805 South Broadway.
According to Nassau County Police, it was just before 10 p.m. when a 31-year-old woman and her three children, ages 12, 7, and 1, were waiting in the restaurant’s drive-thru line behind a red Hyundai operated by Nicholas Carpenzano, age 32 of Patchogue.
She told police she honked at Carpenzano, as he was not moving his car in the line.

In back-to-back accidents, a 65-year-old employee at the McDonald's in River Edge was struck crossing a busy nearby intersection Wednesday night, moments before a school bus crashed in front of the fast-food place, authorities said.
The pedestrian, who lives in Hackensack, went in and out of consciousness after she was struck outside the Green Papaya restaurant at the corner of Kinderkamack and Grand avenues shortly after sunset on Jan. 10, River Edge Police Chief Michael Walker said.

32-Year-Old Man Who Died In Lawrence McDonald’s Stabbing ID’d, Suspect Charged: DA
A 47-year-old man has been arrested on a murder charge after fatally stabbing a 32-year-old man at a McDonald’s in Lawrence, according to authorities.
Kendrick Marcus Brown, 32, was found by officers suffering from an apparent stab wound at 50 Broadway around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, the Essex District Attorney said.
He was rushed to Lawrence Hospital, where he died from his injures.
Marcos A. Muniz, 47, was later identified in connection with the stabbing and arrested on a murder charge, the DA said.
He is set to appear in Lawrence District Court on Wednesday, Jan. 10.

Robert “Bobby” Giardino, 18, died Wednesday night, Dec. 6, after the pickup truck he was driving with three teens veered off the road into the woods, hit several trees, and rolled onto its roof, MassLive reported.

A man who racked up a $20,000 bill just in the property he destroyed at fast food restaurants across Loudoun County is in custody, authorities said.
Reyan H. Ibrahim's night of destruction began around 8:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at the McDonald's at the Ashburn Shopping Plaza, when he destroyed an electronic menu board in the drive-thru lane, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.
At dawn, Ibrahim moved on to the Sheetz on Windmill Parc Drive in Sterling, where he broke a bottle of wine, and hit the front door entrance with a wrench, causing it to shatter, police said.
